Veteran power forward Derrick Favors has opted into his $10.2 million player option for the 22-23 season with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Favors originally signed a three-year, $29,162,700 as a member of the Utah Jazz in 2020 before being traded to OKC with a future 1st-round pick for future 2nd-round picks.
The 30-year-old played just 39 games last season with the Thunder averaging 16.7 minutes per game.
Smart move by Favors, who will collect a salary cap hit of $10,183,800 next season with Oklahoma City.
