Kings add Mike Brown as head coach on a 4-year deal

USA Today

According to ESPN, the Sacramento Kings have agreed to a four-year deal with Mike Brown to become the team’s next head coach.

Brown is currently a member of the Golden State Warriors coaching staff as an associate head coach, so he’ll most likely remain with the team as long as the Warriors are in the playoffs.

This will be his third head coaching stint in his career, where he carries a well above average 347-216 regular season record.

Brown, now 52, was named the NBA Coach of the Year in 2009 and also served as an NBA All-Star head coach.

Sacramento has a ton of work to do, but Brown at least has De’Aaron Fox as a centerpiece for the near future.
