San Diageo Padres outfielder Wil Myers will miss his second consecutive game Saturday due to left thumb soreness.
Myers sustained the injury on his final at-bat Thursday night against the Braves.
The 31-year-old isn’t expected to miss too much time, and he’ll likely be back in the lineup as soon as swelling in his thumb goes down.
Myers has seven hits so far this season for two runs and three RBI.
Matt Beaty will take over right field duties on Saturday afternoon in his absence.
