The Philadelphia Phillies placed relief pitcher Corey Knebel on the COVID-19 injured list.
Knebel was unavailable on Monday night with flu-like symptoms, and he may have contracted the coronavirus.
The recently named Phillies closer will likely be sidelined until he’s symptom free, or records a negative test.
Brad Hand recorded the save for Philly against the Mets yesterday, and he’ll likely remain in the role as long is Knebel is out.
UPDATE 4/13/2022
Phillies have now activated Corey Knebel from the COVID-19 injury list after sitting out Tuesday.
