According to the Washington Post, the Lerner family is exploring sale options for the Washington Nationals.
The family led by Ted Lerner purchased the organization 16 years ago, but they’re now processing possible potential options to sell the team.
Although this news is reported, there’s no timetable on when a change will be made in ownership.
The Nationals are off to a slow start so far this 2022 season, starting last in the NL East with a 1-3 record.
According to Forbes, Washington holds a team value of $2 billion dollars as of last month.
