The San Diego Padres acquired lefty Sean Manaea from the Oakland A’s for infielder Euribiel Angeles and pitcher Adrian Martinez.
After a long time searching, the A’s finally found a trade partner to deal Manaea.
The 30-year-old posted a 3.91 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 194 strikeouts over 179 1/3 innings last season with San Diego.
The Padres now have a pretty good pitching rotation now featuring Manaea, Yu Darvish, Blake Snell, Joe Musgrove, and Mike Clevinger.Â
