The Arizona Diamondbacks signed right-handed pitcher Merrill Kelly to a two-year, $18 million contract extension.
Kelly will earn $5.25 million in 2022 and then will have s salary increase to $8 million in 2023 and 2024, and the deal comes with a $1 million signing bonus.
The 33-year-old threw for a 4.44 ERA last season with a 7-11 record in 158.0 innings pitched.
Kelly now solidifies his part in Arizona’s rotation for the next few seasons.
