Jimmy Butler did not practice for the Miami Heat on Thursday due to a sprained right ankle.
His status for Miami’s Friday matchup with the Oklahoma City uncertain now.
It wouldn’t a surprise to see the six-time All-Star sits out, as he’s missed 22 games this season including three this month with various injuries.
Butler is averaging 21.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game, so Miami may opt to rest him some games down the stretch of the regular season in hopes of making a strong playoff push.
Max Strus and Gabe Vincent could see some extra burn if Butler remains sidelined.
