The Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have franchised tagged wide receivers Davante Adams and Chris Godwin.
Adams will get a fully guaranteed $20.145 million on the franchise tag if a long-term deal isn’t agreed upon before the July 15 deadline.
The 29-year-old was the top free agent set to hit the open market next week.
In the 2021 season, the two-time All-Pro had 123 receptions on 12.9 per receptions for 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns.

For Godwin, it’s the second straight offseason that he’s been hit with the franchise tag, and the Bucs will pay him over $19.1 million this season after he brought in over $15 million last year.Â
Godwin posted 98 receptions for 1,103 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games in 2021.
