Former number one overall pick of the 2017 draft Markelle Fultz will play tonight for the first time since January of 2021.
ESPN reported a couple of days ago that Fultz would return Monday against the Indiana Pacers, so this is just confirmation.
The 23-year-old will likely be on a minutes restriction since sitting out for so long, so don’t be surprised if he’s very limited and slowly eased back into the rotation.
Fultz’ injury was a tough one as he suffered an ACL tear after playing in just eight games in the 2020-21 season.
He was averaging 12.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 5.4 assists before the injury.
