Jean Segura is expected to return to the Phillies lineup on Friday after a stint on the 10-day IL with a quad injury.
The 31-year-old completed a short minor league rehab assignment with the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs earlier this week.
Philadelphia has an upcoming three-game series with the division rival Atlanta Braves, so they’ll need Segura’s services.
Segura was off to a hot start to begin the 2021 season, slashing .333/.359/.450 with seven runs, one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base before the injury.
The Phillies are currently first in the NL East with a 17-15 record.
