Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez is returning to the lineup Thursday night against the Atlanta Braves.
Baez missed the last three games with hamstring tightness, but he’ll be back at shortstop tonight and hit fifth in the lineup.
The 28-year-old has six home runs, 17 RBI, and five steals in 20 games played so far this season.
However, Baez is struggling a bit at the plate posting a .234/.272/.494 slash line.
The Cubs are currently in the last spot in the Central division with a 10-14 record, so Baez along with the team have to pick it up at some point after losing six of their last 10 games.
