Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto could make his Grapefruit League debut as soon as Tuesday.
Realmuto was removed from the lineup Sunday where he was scheduled to make his debut due to soreness in his thumb after a simulated game Saturday.
The 30-year-old will have a short time period to increase his activity ahead of Opening Day.
Philadelphia has yet to rule out Realmuto, so hopefully he’ll be ready to go on April 1.
Realmuto signed a $115.5 million contract extension with the Phillies back in January.
