Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts said Friday that he’ll be “completely ready” for Opening Day.
Bogaerts was dealing with right shoulder soreness during the first week of spring training.
However, the 28-year-old has recovered and he made his Grapefruit League debut today against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Bogaerts batted .300/.364/.502 in 56 games played last season with 11 homr runs, 28 RBI, and 36 runs.
Expect him to have another strong season in 2021 and drafted as a high pick in standard fantasy leagues.
The Red Sox will open the season facing the Baltimore Orioles on April 1.
