Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts stated Tuesday that Cody Bellinger is expected to be ready for Opening Day.
Bellinger underwent surgery in November after he dislocated his right shoulder while celebrating a home run in Game 7 of the NLCS.
According to NBC, Bellinger is a little behind other players in camp, but it’s most likely due to precautionary reasons.
The 25-year-old is on a one-year, $16,100,000 contract signed with the Dodgers last month to avoid arbitration.
Bellinger should be a top pick in standard fantasy leagues for the upcoming 2021 season.
The Dodgers’ first matchup as defending champions is scheduled for April 1 when they take on the Colorado Rockies.
