Tom Brady to undergo knee surgery

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will undergo minor knee surgery this offseason.

Head coach Bruce Arians described the surgery as a “clean up,” but the Boston Globe’s Ben Volin said “he needs more than just a little clean up.”

Either way, knee surgery for a 43-year-old isn’t the best news.

However, Brady has stated multiple times that he intends to play next season and possibly even further.

Brady threw for 4,633 yards last season with 40 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

He also led the Bucs to a 4-0 postseason while winning Super Bowl LV, his seventh Super Bowl victory.

Brady will make a salary of $25,000,000 next season and it will be the final year of his two-year contract signed with Tampa Bay in March of 2020.
