The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday that they will remain based in Tampa, Florida for the remainder of the 2021 season.
Toronto hoped that the team would return to their home in Canada, but the country still has very strict travel rules due to COVID-19.
The Raptors are the only NBA team to be based in another country, but traveling to and from in these times would be difficult.
Toronto is currently on a six-game road trip, and they’ll return to their current home at Amalie Arena after tonight’s matchup with the Celtics.
