The Cleveland Indians signed outfielder Billy Hamilton to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The deal is reportedly pending a physical.
Hamilton is no doubt one of the fastest players in all of baseball, but he can barely get on base.
The 30-year-old was awful at the plate last year, slashing .125/.171/.219 in 32 at bats.
Cleveland could use Hamilton in pinch running situations and in the outfield if they decide to put him in the lineup.
