The Denver Broncos have released cornerback A.J. Bouye, clearing $13.2 million in cap space for the 2021 offseason.
Bouye was on the final year of his five-year, $67,500,000 contract signed back in 2017 with the Jaguars.
In December, the 29-year-old was suspended six games for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing drug policy, which he was forced to forfeit $4.77 million in salary and bonuses.
Bouye still has two games remaining on that suspension, but he should be well rested for the team that decides to give him a chance.
He appeared in seven games last season and recorded 23 total tackles and no interceptions.
