The San Francisco Giants signed infielder Tommy La Stella to a three-year, $18.75 million contract.

The deal was originally reported last Tuesday, and has now been made official after La Stella passed his pre-signing physical exam.

La Stella has played well when healthy over the last two seasons, posting .289/.356/.471 with 21 home runs in 135 games with the Angels and A’s.

The 32-year-old could see plenty of time in the rotation for San Francisco with his strong ability to hit against right-handed pitching, and his multiple defensive positions across the infield.
