The Houston Astros have finalized a two-year, $32 million contract with outfielder Michael Brantley.
Brantley drew multiple interest from teams this offseason, but he ultimately chose to stay with Houston on a short-term deal.
The 33-year-old posted a solid .300/.364/.476 slash line last season with five home runs and 22 RBI across 170 at-bats.
Brantley spent most of his time in the designated hitter position in the lineup in 2020, but the Astros would like to use him more in the outfield and slide Yordan Alvarez back in at DH if he’s healthy.
