The Washington Nationals and first baseman Ryan Zimmerman have agreed to a one-year, $1 million contract.
Zimmerman opted out of the 2020 season, but he’s played all of his 15 career seasons with the Nationals.
Washington recently traded for Josh Bell, so Zimmerman’s playing time will certainly be cut down.
The 36-year-old could however be used for left-handed pitching and for the designated hitter position for this upcoming season.
