The New York Yankees signed second baseman DJ LeMahieu to a six-year, $90 million contract.
Both the New York Post and ESPN clarified that the deal is worth $90 million.
Earlier this week, there were reports that LeMahieu was frustrated with how negotiations were being done with the Yankees, but ultimately they secured a deal.
The 32-year-old slugged .364.421/.590/ last season with 10 home runs and 27 RBI.
LeMahieu’s batting average and on base percentage were the highest of his career in 2020.
