Free agent starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi is seeking a contract in the range of three years and $36 to $42 million.

It’s a stretch for Odorizzi that threw just 13.2 innings last season with an ugly 6.59 ERA while battling multiple injuries.

With the free agent market thin for starting pitchers this offseason, Odorizzi may see some interest from ball clubs in need of the position.

MLB.com earlier reported that the Red Sox had shown some interest in him.
