James Conner doesn’t practice Thursday

USA Today Sports

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner missed practice Thursday with a quad injury.

Conner missed week 12 and 13 before returning last week against Buffalo, where he ran 10 times for only 18 yards.

The Steelers running game has been ineffective in their last three games, averaging just 45 yards on the ground.

Pittsburgh started off the year extremely hot, but it looks like they’re being exposed as of late with their weak running attack.

If Conner is forced to be sidelined again, Blake Snell should get the start in the backfield.
