Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez stated that he hopes to “return to the pitch soon” after his scary head injury.

Jimenez suffered the injury by clashing heads with Arsenal defender David Luiz during Saturday’s Premier League contest.

The match was stopped for about 10 minutes to allow Jimenez to receive treatment before he was carried off the pitch on a stretcher.

Jimenez posted on Twitter:

The 29-year-old had surgery on the injury on Sunday and should make a recovery in the future.
