The San Francisco 49ers traded linebacker Kwon Alexander to the New Orleans Saints for a conditional fifth-round pick.
Linebacker Kiko Alonso will also be dealt to San Francisco for as part of the deal.
Alexander played in just 13 total games in the least two seasons since joining the 49ers, and he’s struggled lately playing the position.
San Francisco gave him a 4-year, $54 million contract in 2019 after he played well in his first four seasons in Tampa.
Hopefully a change of scenery will get Alexander back to playing at the All-Pro level he once was.
