Dominik Kubalik and the Chicago Blackhawks agreed to a two-year, $7.4 million extension.
Last season as a rookie, Kubalik scored an impressive 30 goals and 46 points in 68 games.
Kubliak finished third in Calder Trophy voting with his strong performances.
If the young left wing keeps up his play, he will certainly see some long-term offers by multiple teams.
