The San Jose Sharks acquired right wing Ryan Donato from Minnesota for a 2021 third-round pick.
Donato scored 18 goals and 39 points in 84 games over two seasons with the Wild.
“Ryan is an offensively-gifted young player who loves to compete and use his terrific shot,” said Sharks GM Doug Wilson.
“His game had shown steady improvement each season and we think his best hockey is ahead of him.”
The 24-year-old averaged just 10:38 ice time last season, but could be someone to look out for if he gets a bigger role in San Jose.
