San Francisco 49ers defensive back Richard Sherman has been placed on injured reserve with a leg injury.

Sherman will miss at least the next three weeks of action with the league’s new IR policy.

According to NFL Network, the 3x All-Pro is dealing with a calf strain.

Sherman will be eligible to return in week five against the Dolphins, but his status remains unclear.
