The Miami Dolphins have signed former Cowboys CB Byron Jones to a record breaking five-year, $82.5 million contract.

The deal includes $57 million guaranteed and he’ll make $40 million in his first two years.

The Dolphins have now made Jones the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history.

It’s a huge deal for a defensive back that has just two interceptions in five seasons, and 0 in each of the last two seasons.

Jones clearly has an inability to take the ball away, but his lockdown and tackling skills are high above average.
