Baltimore Ravens safety Earl Thomas has been fined $21,056 for his hit on Steelers QB Mason Rudolph that knocked him out.
Thomas received a penalty for roughing the passer in the 3rd quarter of their contest Sunday, where his helmet hit the chin of Rudolph.
After the hit, Rudolph laid motionless on the ground for an extended period of time while his teammates and training staff surrounded him.
Thomas reached out to Rudolph this week via calls and texts, but he didn’t get a response.
Thomas spoke with ESPN:
“I wanted him to know that I didn’t do it on purpose. That’s all I wanted him to know.”
