Former Los Angeles Rams running back Steven Jackson has signed a one-day contract with the ball club to retire as a member of the team.

Jackson spent his first nine seasons with the Rams before playing for the Atlanta Falcons for two seasons then one with the New England Patriots.

Jackson ran for 1,000 yards in eight consecutive season from 2005-2012.

He became the Rams’ all-time leading rusher with 10,138 yards in 131 games.

Jackson earned $53,439,117 in NFL contracts throughout his 12 seasons.
