Check out a list of this upcoming season’s NFL projections provided by USA Today Sports.
The records seem quite accurate in all fairness. However, I disagree with the Super Bowl winners being the Los Angeles Chargers. They had a great season last year going 12-4, but they lost twice to their division opponent in Kansas City. Knocking them off hasn’t been seen yet, so I cannot see them winning a Super Bowl getting not just past KC, but New England as well.
Another hiccup would be the Jaguars going 10-6. The addition of Nick Foles is overhyped. He had a magical run in Philly, but let’s not forget that this will be his fourth team in his eighth season. In fact, last time Foles started full time for another ball club was 2015 as a member of the Rams. He lead the team to a poor 4-7 record and completed just 190 passes with a 69.0 QB rating. Foles threw for a low 2,052 yards and just seven touchdowns with ten interceptions.
The NFC will be a tight race as well, especially with the return of Carson Wentz to the Eagles. He should be back in his 2017 form, but only time will tell. The emergence of the Bears defense will still be in Chicago, and Mitch Trubisky has another year of experience under his belt. New Orleans will still have their stellar offense, but their defense always remain the big question.
