The Philadelphia Flyers have signed center Kevin Hayes to a 7-year contract.

The new deal comes with an annual average salary $7.14 million.

Hayes recorded a career high 55 points in 71 games last season with the New York Rangers and Winnipeg Jets.

His previous contract was just a 1-year, $5.175 million deal signed with New York in July of last year.
