Kelly Krauskopf has made NBA history on Monday after accepting an assistant general manager position with the Indiana Pacers.
Krauskopf previously worked in the WNBA since it began as the director of operations. She then joined the Indiana Fever as their top executive in 1999.
Along with her role of president with the Fever, she worked as the GM for a big portion of her 19 years with the club. She helped build a team to win the 2012 WNBA Finals and she also reached three others.
In 2017, Krauskopf relinquished her GM title to become senior vice president of Pacers Sports and Entertainment where she ran the team’s esports franchise.
Krauskopf is now the 15th woman currently working in a front-office role with an NBA franchise.
