Washington Redskins newly acquired quarterback Alex Smith’s career is in jeopardy after the gruesome injury he suffered.

Smith was diagnosed with a compound fracture and a spiral fracture in his right leg in week 11 against the Houston Texans.

The Skins are optomistic about Smith’s return, but doctors are reportedly having a wait-and-see approach with 14-year veterans future playing career.

Smith has earned $146,475,000 in NFL contracts throughout his career. He signed a 4-year, $94,000,000 contract extension with Washington after being traded from Kansas City in March.
