The Houston Rockets defeated the Indiana Pacers 115-103 behind 2017 MVP James Harden‘s 40 points.
Rockets point guard Chris Paul also made a big contribution with 26 points shooting 5/8 from deep with five assists and three steals.
Despite Houston picking up their fifth victory, rumors continue to swirl about the future of offseason acquisition Carmelo Anthony.
Marc Stein of The New York Times earlier reported that Anthony has been informed his brief stint with the team will soon to come to a conclusion.
However, the Rockets since denied the report.
Rockets general manager Daryl Morey called speculation of Anthony’s departure “unfair” and added that “Anthony has done everything asked of him of the coaching staff.”
Daryl Morey says Melo is really sick. “I would expect him to be playing when he’s healthy.” pic.twitter.com/kDjy6jgZkz
