The Boston Red Sox have defeated the New York Yankees 4-3 to close out the series and advance to the American League Championship Series, where they will face the Houston Astros.

Boston has a tough task ahead with the Astros looking to repeat as World Series Champions. They’re also 11-2 dating back to September 21.

The Red Sox went 3-4 against the Astros in the regular season.

Boston had the highest team payroll in all of baseball this season at $228,398,860.
