On a big stage of Monday Night Football in his home arena, Drew Brees surpassed Brett Favre and Peyton Manning to set the all-time passing record.
Brees set the record on a 62 yard throw to Tre’Quan Smith who ran it in for a touchdown.
The Saints destroyed the Washington Redskins 43-19 in what could be the most iconic night in Monday Night Football history.
Brees completed 26 of 29 passes for 363 yards and three touchdowns with a QB rating of 153.2

The 39-year-old from Austin, Texas now has 72,103 career passing yards and 499 passing touchdowns.
In March, Brees signed a 2-year, $50 million contract with New Orleans. From 2001 until today, Brees has earned $221,710,422 in NFL contracts with the Chargers and Saints.
