San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster has been suspended two games without pay for violating the league’s conduct and substance abuse policies.
“I accept the League’s decision and am sorry that my mistakes have hurt my team,” Foster mentioned in a statement. Foster will be allowed to participate in the 49ers’ preseason games and practices and will be eligible to return week three.
Foster played 10 games with San Francisco last season recording 59 tackles. The 23-year-old is on a 4-year, $9,035,309 rookie contract that included a $4,711,134 signing bonus and $6,873,222 guaranteed.
