C.J. Cron is out of the Colorado Rockies starting lineup Saturday against the Diamondbacks with a wrist injury.
Cron was hit by a fastball on his left wrist by Arizona pitcher Zac Gallen in Friday’s matchup with the team.
However, X-rays came back negative and it seems to be a normal maintenance day for the injury.
Cron also told reporters that he might be ready to return at some point this weekend, but we’ll see how fast he can recover in this time period.
The 32-year-old has the second-most RBI (66) in the league this season, and he’s batting .295/.350/.551 to go along with 20 homers and 49 runs.
