The Los Angeles Dodgers activated pitcher Clayton Kershaw off the 15-day injury list to start Saturday against the Giants.
Kershaw finally returns to the starting rotation after being sidelined throughout a majority of May and June
The 34-year-old recorded seven strikeouts over four innings last weekend in a minor league assignment with Rancho Cucamonga.
Kershaw was off to a great start this season, throwing for a 1.80 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 32/3 K/BB ratio across 30 innings before being placed on the IL last month with SI joint inflammation in the pelvic area of his lower back.
He’ll look to pick things up right where he left off Saturday in San Francisco.
