Willson Contreras is back in the Cubs starting lineup for Saturday’s doubleheader against the Cardinals.
Contreras sat out Friday’s game against St. Louis with a left ankle injury he sustained after being hit by pitch Thursday.
The 30-year-old catcher has been off to a hot start in 2022, slashing .278/.401/.530 with 32 runs, nine home runs, and 21 RBI across 182 plate appearances.
With a doubleheader on the schedule, Contreras should be starting in fantasy lineups throughout multiple leagues today.
The Cubs also promoted pitcher Caleb Kilian from Tiple-A Iowa to make his big league debut in today’s second game against St. Louis.
