Kyrie Irving fined $25,000 for media violation

USA Today Sports

Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets have each been fined $25,000 for violating the NBA’s media availability rules.

Irving hasn’t been made available to reporters since the beginning of training camp.

Continuing his strange drama, Irving has sent mixed messages about speaking with media coverage for the season.

All NBA players are required to speak with the media as part of their contracts.

Irving signed a 4-year, $136,490,600 contract with Brooklyn in July of 2019.
