The Minnesota Twins placed starting pitcher Sonny Gray on the 15-day injured list with a right pectoral strain.
Gray suffered the injury in his last start Sunday against Kansas City after throwing six scoreless innings.
Although he’s placed on the IL, the injury is not believed to be serious and he’s likely to return to the rotation as soon as he’s eligible.
Sonny’s off to a good start to begin the 2022 season, posting a 3-1 record with a 2.41 ERA and 39 strikeouts across 33.2 innings pitched.
