Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said that wide receiver Chris Godwin has no timetable to return to the field.
Speaking with reporters at OTA’s, Bowles stated that Godwin is “Better than where he was but not where he needs to be…we don’t put a timetable on it.”
Godwin is coming off a torn ACL suffered in Week 15 last season and could possible be placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list ahead of training camp.
The 26-year-old signed a three-year, $60 million contract extension with the Bucs in March, so there’s no need to rush their asset back ahead of schedule.
Godwin totaled 98 receptions last season for 1,103 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 14 games played.
As long as he’s sidelined, expect Russell Gage and of course Mike Evans to see more targets from Tom Brady.
