Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe has been diagnosed with stress reaction in his lower back.
Lowe was originally placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with a lower back injury, and now he’ll be sidelined from baseball activities for at least three weeks before being re-evaluated.
This is of course a blow for the Rays, who will be without their primary second baseman for the near future.
Lowe was slashing .212/.293/.415 so far in 2022 with five home runs, 20 runs, and 12 RBI.
Hopefully the 27-year-old can make a return by mid-June at the latest.
