Toronto Raptors rookie Scottie Barnes has been ruled out of Monday night’s Game 2 against the Sixers with a left ankle sprain.
Barnes suffered the injury during Game 1 after Joel Embiid stepped on his foot in an unfortunate basketball play.
This is bad news for the Raptors, who could also be without Gary Trent Jr. due to an illness.
Barnes was named a finalist for the Rookie of the Year Award on TNT, and he’ll be missed in the Raptors lineup.
The 20-year-old out of Florida State finished his rookie campaign averaging 15.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.
