The New Orleans Saints released quarterback Blake Bortles at his request after the team recently signed Andy Dalton.
ESPN reported that Bortles requested his release and the team decided to sign Andy Dalton as Jameis Winston’s backup.
Bortles spent his first five seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars before moving to the LA Rams in 2019.
He then signed a one-year deal with the Broncos before ending up in Green Bay, and finally ended up in New Orleans on another one-year contract.
Bortles, now soon to be 30-years-old, will likely seek another team as a backup for the near future.
